Thanks to our strategic deployment across the globe, Lionbridge can offer more than offshoring, we can offer right-shoring and multi-shoring.
Our global project managers work closely with commercial software developers to site projects where they make the most sense from a skills, cost, and governance point of view. Sometimes that may mean dividing projects among onsite, onshore and offshore resources. To be clear, we divide our product development & testing options like this:
- Onsite (Lionbridge personnel placed directly in your facility)
- Nearsite (A longterm team working from a nearby building)
- Onshore (e.g., Our Boise facility for U.S. clients; Ireland, Warsaw, or Tampere, Finland for European-based clients)
- Offshore (Beijing, Mumbai, or Chennai)
Beyond these core facilities, we maintain project management sites in 25 countries. In fact, Lionbridge has 45 such sites around the world.
In order to provide specific, in-country analysis and testing, we can also "crowdsource" by reaching out to our extended network of professionals in some 97 additional nations.

Some of our clients require a full "follow the sun" process. With locations in multiple regions, redundant skill sets, and knowledge contained in workflows and workspace tools, production can continue 24 hours a day. For example, a development and testing effort might begin in Beijing, continue in Chennai, then Warsaw, with information gathered and managed by onsite staff in the U.S.
In every case, program governance and escalation are highly defined, and kept as geographically close as possible to the client's own team: always we provide single-point global project management which follows the high standards of our Quality Management Service (QMS) and utilizes our advanced workflow tools, including our own Stevie® Award-winning Logoport software.
Each site is equally and highly secure, offers an advanced disaster recovery infrastructure, and follows identical processes. Employees are given cultural training to ensure clear communications and smooth project interactions across continents and timezones.
